OUR JOURNEY

Persia Darbar began its journey in 2013, marking a new chapter in a culinary legacy that dates back to 1976. This chapter was led by Mr. Faizaan Javed Kotwala, son of Mr. Javed Abubakar Kotwala (Owner of Persian Darbar),
grand son of Late Mr.Abubakar Kotwala ( founder of Persian Darbar ) with a clear and focused vision, to serve the finest cuisines using the right combination of ingredients in the appropriate quantity, while offering an authentic dining environment and warm, heartfelt service.
The roots of this legacy lie in 1976, when the Late Mr. Abubakar Kotwala, along with his close friends, established the first Persian Darbar outlet in Byculla. Built on honesty, flavour, and hospitality, the restaurant quickly earned the trust of Mumbai’s diners and became a respected name in the city’s food culture.
Persia Darbar is the brainchild of the third generation, Mr. Faizaan Javed Kotwala, son of Mr. Javed Abubakar Kotwala (Owner of Persian Darbar),grand son of Late Mr.Abubakar Kotwala ( founder of Persian Darbar ).
